I'm posting the listing on Patreon with links. Subscribers get an e-mail with the whole post on it when it goes up. This month, I posted the week-early posts on the 8th, and the base level subscribers (and folks who just read here) will get it on the 15th. I'm going to do my best to stick with that schedule every month.

The problem with an Everything list 2-3 times a year is that a lot of editors don't publicize their project that early. :/ As it is, I usually post in the middle of the month, and there've been times when on, say, the 12th of the month, I'll have found that an editor posted their guidelines the 18th of the previous month, and the deadline is the 14th of this month. Which is kind of pointless for me to post at that point. I really wish they'd all give more lead time, but not everyone does. If I only posted two or three times a year, the problem would be significantly worse; even if I posted everything I had every 4-6 months, you'd all miss a lot.

Here's what I decided to go with -- https://www.patreon.com/user?u=5333479

If you can contribute, that's great. If not, that's cool too, and best of luck with your submissions. :)

AngieAngiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11920578701763415331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-17231593746414161382017-04-14T09:11:19.956-07:002017-04-14T09:11:19.956-07:00I find this site really helpful and wouldn't m...I find this site really helpful and wouldn't mind chipping in. I like the emailed PDF idea and the advantages of advance notice, but I would probably prefer a one time "all you've got" 2-3 times a year instead of a monthly subscription.Patchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09097638657085263738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-37308969650167033312017-03-25T09:49:40.610-07:002017-03-25T09:49:40.610-07:00Michael -- thanks for the tip. :) I'm travel...Michael -- thanks for the tip. :) I'm travelling right now, but I'll check it out when I get home.

AngieAngiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11920578701763415331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-83892891711616113462017-03-23T06:12:51.904-07:002017-03-23T06:12:51.904-07:00Another anthology call, for P.I. stories set in Te...Another anthology call, for P.I. stories set in Texas: http://www.crimefictionwriter.com/TheEyesOfTexas.htmMichael Brackenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01072019804281421944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-67395056388708507422017-03-21T03:00:42.726-07:002017-03-21T03:00:42.726-07:00Suzan -- yeah, I'm not terribly fond of PayPal...Suzan -- yeah, I'm not terribly fond of PayPal either, but they're effectively the only game in town for most purposes. :/

AngieAngiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11920578701763415331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-14517862064543089742017-03-20T20:06:24.354-07:002017-03-20T20:06:24.354-07:00Well, that sucks! When you hit a certain amount in donations, you need to be able to prove you've been using the money for actual charitable work. Granted, that level (I forget what it is, something like $10K?) is high, but still.

I know a lot of writers who use the Donate button as a tip jar, which is what I wanted it for. But PayPal would object to that, apparently, if it came to their notice. Given that PayPal can and has confiscated all monies from the accounts of people who've pissed them off, I decided I'm not willing to roll those dice. :/

AngieAngiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11920578701763415331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1847902007209931042.post-38323519904223368092017-03-16T18:55:52.598-07:002017-03-16T18:55:52.598-07:00What about a PayPal donate button, too? Just a suggestion because as a writer myself, I can't guarantee income per month or that money that does come in won't get shunted to an unexpected household emergency. (My husband and son have single-handed kept the dental professionals in our small town in business over the last nine months.)

But when I get the unexpected royalty check, I like to donate it to people who have helped me.Suzan Hardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04600258874634909988noreply@blogger.com
