Actually, this is part of a longer series -- Kris writes a blog post on the business of writing and publishing every Thursday, and it's absolutely worth a read -- but this particular post has some especially shiny gold in it.
She talks about how to use the alsoboughts on your books' sales pages to figure out who's reading your books and what they like about them, which helps you make marketing decisions and decide where to spend your limited time and money.
There's more too. Check it out.

I always look forward to Kris's posts, which I consume with my Thursday morning caffeine. She gives a good starting place to figure out my own business stuff, and it's not quite as scary the way she explains marketing.
I always look forward to her posts too. [nodnod] And I agree that she's very good at explaining things, without being dictatorial about it. Different writers can adapt her info to their own way of doing business, which is how it should work.

I've see that "also bought" thing but never paid much attention to it
Charles -- I don't either, usually. Sometimes I'll look through the list, to see if there are any other books there I might like, but I've never thought to use it as a window into my audience.
